In its 45th anniversary issue dated July 1, 2004, India's leading women’s magazine Femina featured Pallavi among the top 45 Indian women from all disciplines who are “On The Fast Track”.

The Hindustan Times wrote on Nov 13, 2005 that her performance at Pracheen Kala Kendra “combined lyrical grace with geometric precision …the young dancer enchanted the viewers… as she brought alive the intrinsic beauty of the dance form…her prowess and training was manifested in the Varnam as her large expressive eyes told  the story and her agile body mirrored the pure dance nritta as well as the cosmic energy of Lord Shiva  Rasa and bhava coalesced to form an aesthetic whole marked by dexterous footwork…Precise postures and mudras….were executed with consummate ease…”

The Hindu commented on July 30, 2004 that “this dancer gives serious thought to her art...Her agility, stamina, powers of memory were all well tested during the marathon rendition…Blessed with classical good looks, Pallavi’s poise adds charm to her performance…Pallavi introduces contrasts of hard and soft nritta movements to good effect…”  - Anjana Rajan

The Statesman commented on Aug. 5, 2004: ““Palavi went through the numbers with ease, grace and poise…she executed alluring karanas while in motion without the slightest jerky angularities…Her abhinaya is communicative…she has the advantage of compelling eyes…there was precision in her footwork. The third round brought the house down. Here she occupied the entire stage providing fleeting movements of immense grace…” -Subbudu

The Indian Express remarked on Jan 25, 2004 that Pallavi’s performance at the prestigious Narada Gana Sabha, Chennai was imbued with “distinguishing character, endearing charm and absolute confidence.” - R. Srinivasan

The Assam Tribune featured an extensive interview with Pallavi in May 2004 on the background to her special presentation in Guwahati, "In Search of the Essence of India"
